The Three C's

She walked through the thousands of people crossing paths with her. Aware of her surroundings, she tried to feel the energies stimulating her. The energies interacted with each other, sending out mixed signals. What was her energy like? No one had ever told her. She wanted to know so badly. Could anyone tell her?

She knew exactly what she liked. Who she liked. What she wanted. Her long legs stroked the busy pavement, making way for the thousands of strangers glancing at her. Why are they looking at me like that? Do I look like a clown? Or maybe I have something stuck on my forehead. A tattoo that says "Stare your eyes out"?. She looked right back at them and burned them through her eyes. That would give them something to talk about.

Shutting her eyes for a millisecond, with her head in the clouds, she met her King high up in the sky. Wind whistling, the clouds embracing them and the birds singing a melodious tune just for them. Perched on their throne, they looked at each other for a long, long time. Seconds turned into minutes. Intense. The heat kept rising. What is this? Isn't it meant to be cold up where they were?

All of a sudden, she felt a strange man's hands on her back. Who the hell was he? Why was he touching her?

"Excuse me? What do you think you are doing?" she murmured as she came back down to Earth.

As she turned to glance at him, she saw the most beautiful pair of eyes. Deep brown with a hint of gold. His hair was perfectly combed and his shirt had not a single crease on it. As he started apologizing to her, she attended to him for about 20 seconds. 20 seconds, before she took a flight back to the clouds, where her King awaited. Why would she pay attention to anyone but her King?

I guess she knew the answers she was looking for while she floated through white bubbles. Hand in hand, she knew. Deep down, she knew. The truth will not change. It comes down to the three C's. There was always going to be someone better than him. Smarter than him. Someone with a better body than him. Someone with a better house or a better job than him. But all that didn't matter though because ultimately, it comes down to the three main things.

Communication, compatibility and chemistry.

It didn't matter to her whether there were others out there. Why would it? Because at the end of the day, all she wanted and needed is the goal of finding someone who could share those three C's with her.
